Privacy Policy

StudyChinaGuide.com (“Study in China — CSCA Prep Station”, “we”, “the site”) helps international students learn about studying in China and prepare for the CSCA admission exam. This page explains what information the site handles and what we do with it.

1. Information you give us

Email address for updates. When you join a waitlist or ask to be notified — for example, when member content opens — we store your email address and which page you signed up from. That is all the form asks for: no name, no password, no payment details. The list is stored with our database provider, Supabase.

Messages. If you write to us by email or through our social channels, we keep the conversation so we can reply and help you.

2. Information that stays in your browser

Your study plan, your goals, and your application checklist ticks are saved in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. They are not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.

Cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and we do not currently run third-party analytics. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies and process technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

3. How we use information

• To send the updates you asked for — for example, one email when member content opens.
• To reply to your messages.
• To keep the site working and secure.

4. What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
• We do not ask for or store payment card details. Membership has not launched yet; if it does, payments will be handled by a payment provider and this policy will be updated before any account or payment information is collected.

5. Who processes information for us

Two providers: Supabase (stores the email list) and Cloudflare (hosts and protects the site). They process information only to provide those services, and their servers may be located outside your country. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Waitlist email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Information stored in your browser stays under your control on your device.

7. Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future updates.
• See or delete your information. Email us at [email protected] and we will confirm, correct, or delete the email record we hold for you. We aim to respond within 30 days.

8. Children

This site is intended for prospective university students and their families. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
